Peter K. Kirugumi

Peter is a Strategy Partner at the Firm and doubles up as the Head of the Commercial and Secretarial Department. He has immense commercial law experience and worked as the Group Legal Manager in Britam, (public listed entity in the Nairobi Securities Exchange), managing legal matters and cases across seven countries within Africa including: Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, South Sudan & Mozambique. In addition, he has in the past worked with a Leading Law Firm in Kenya as well as a Magic Circle Firm in the United Kingdom (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP) courtesy of the competitive International Lawyers for Africa programme.

Peter holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Nairobi, Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law, and is currently pursing an MBA in Social Entrepreneurship at USIU Africa. He is also a registered Company Secretary with ICPSK, an accredited Governance Auditor and a CPA graduate. Overall, he holds over 10 years post admission experience.

Peter enjoys swimming, hiking, travelling, reading as well as socializing with friends and family.

•  Labour related disputes/ matters for Britam in Nairobi, Uganda and Rwanda;
